Worked with the team at Jankedesign to create the brand identity and signage program for Shoal Creek Walk is a 15-story office tower located just behind The Whole Foods HQ in downtown Austin. The inspiration for the identity came from the unique undulating architecture of the western facade, a defining characteristic of the building.
Because the identity would primary be used in signage applications, we decided to think of the logo as existing in 3 dimensional space, as a sculptural application on the building itself, with the 2D version as secondary. The final logo appears as dimensional letters which mimic the undulating northern facade, one of the building’s defining architectural features. As a final subtle touch, the word “creek” received a flowing curvy treatment as opposed to the sharp architectural look of the other letters, to bring a sense of the organic into what is otherwise a very sleek and modern office space.
