Designed for an experimental class in cognitive experience design, SALUS is an App concept for an AI guide for volunteer disaster relief. The idea came following the reports that during Hurricane Harvey traditional 911 emergency systems were overloaded, so people started simply driving around searching for people in need of help. The idea behind SALUS is to use AI to mine social media for people asking for help, match them up with volunteers, then guide them safely to a shelter.
